This site is published by Oakley Roofing, a sole trader based in Herne Bay, Kent, contactable on 0800 246 5315 or at oakley-roofing@outlook.com. Using the site means accepting the terms below.
The information here is general
Everything written on this site describes how roofs behave in general and how work is usually approached. It is not advice about your specific roof, which cannot sensibly be given without looking at it. Do not act or hold off acting on the basis of these pages alone - particularly where safety or water getting into a building is involved.
Quotes and prices
Nothing on this website is a quotation or an offer to carry out work at a particular price. A price only exists once it has been given in writing after the roof has been inspected, and it applies to the work described in it. Where a quote turns out to have been based on something that could not be seen beforehand, any change is discussed and agreed before the extra work is done.
Your right to cancel
Where work is agreed away from business premises - which, given quotes are given at your home, is normally the case - you generally have 14 days to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you have asked in writing for work to start inside that period and it has begun, you may be liable for what has already been done. This does not apply to genuine emergency call-outs you have specifically requested.

Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded - including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Beyond that, Oakley Roofing is not liable for loss arising from reliance on the general information published on this website.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
